Frequent ER visits or hospitalizations with no follow-up plan
...and any additional challenges that require a higher level of care, including Inpatient Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
If that's you - then, you're in the right place.
We focus on helping insured families find access to clinically appropriate treatment and insurance coverage, including including Inpatient Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
Note: We DO NOT assist with admits into wilderness programs as they are not a licensed level of care.
If that's you - then, you're in the right place.
Unfortunately, insurance denials are common, but they aren’t the end of the road. Start by requesting a written explanation of the denial from your provider. Then, you can file an appeal, which often leads to a second review or reconsideration.
We can help you understand the denial, gather supporting documentation, and walk you through the appeals process. Some treatment providers also offer private pay options, scholarships, or sliding scale fees, and we’ll help you explore every possible path forward.
If your insurance doesn’t have an in-network provider that meets your child’s needs, you still have options. First, ask your insurance company for a “single case agreement”—this allows them to cover an out-of-network program as if it were in-network, due to lack of availability.
We can help you identify programs that may accept single case agreements. In some cases, we can also help you gather documentation to show medical necessity with your insurance provider, which may open additional doors.
It can be incredibly discouraging to realize there are no appropriate treatment options close to home—but you're not out of options. Many families end up finding the right program out of state or further away, especially when local resources are limited or full.
We help you explore trusted programs nationwide, and we’ll guide you through what travel, communication, and long-distance support might look like. While it’s not easy to send your child further from home, the right admit can make all the difference.
If your child is experiencing severe mental health challenges, such as:
- Suicidal thoughts or self-harm
- Aggressive or dangerous behavior
- Substance abuse concerns
- Psychotic symptoms (hallucinations, delusions)
- Severe anxiety, depression, or emotional distress that impacts daily life
…and outpatient therapy is not enough, it may be time to consider a higher level of care. Fill out the Family in Crisis Form, and we’ll help you determine the best next step.
When a school isn’t responding to your concerns, it can feel isolating—but you still have options. Start by documenting everything: emails, behavior reports, IEP or 504 plans, and any communications you've had. This record can support your case if you need to escalate.
You have the right to request a special education evaluation, file a formal complaint, or bring in an educational advocate. We can help you understand what your rights are, what language to use, and how to push for the support your child deserves.
Sadly, this is a common and exhausting cycle for families. The ER is designed for stabilization, not long-term care, which means many kids are discharged without a plan for what comes next.
We help you break that cycle by helping you identify what level of care your child truly needs—whether that’s RTC, PHP, or IOP—and guiding you toward programs that offer sustained, therapeutic support. We can also help coordinate with your current providers or assist in gathering the documentation needed for admit.
Timelines vary based on availability, program fit, and your child’s needs, but we work as quickly as possible. Some families find admit within days, while others may take longer due to waitlists or insurance approvals. Submitting the Family in Crisis Form is the fastest way to start the process.
We currently work with families across the United States. Fill out the Family in Crisis Form, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
Our primary goal is to help families in crisis. Some of our services are available at no cost, while others may require a fee depending on the level of support needed. We will always be transparent about any costs before moving forward.
Coverage varies by insurance provider, plan, and the type of treatment needed. Some programs accept private insurance, Medicaid, or self-pay options. We can help guide you in understanding your insurance benefits and potential costs.
Unfortunately, waitlists are common, but we don’t stop there. If immediate placement isn’t possible, we help you explore:
- Temporary solutions (e.g., outpatient programs, crisis stabilization units)
- Strategies to keep your child safe while waiting
- Additional program options that may not be widely known
Our goal is to find you the best possible path forward—even when options seem limited.
Getting into a program is just the first step. We continue to provide support, resources, and guidance throughout your child’s treatment, helping ensure they get the care they need for as long as necessary.
The first step is filling out the Family In Crisis Form. This allows us to understand your child’s situation and provide the best possible recommendations. Once submitted, we’ll review it quickly and reach out with next steps.
